Catholic funeral services for Billy James Archambault, 56, of Ft. Yates, ND, 11:00 AM, CT, Saturday, March 2, 2019 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bullhead. Interment will be in the St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Billy passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at his home in Ft. Yates.
Billy James Archambault, son of the late LeRoy Archambault and Joyce (Village Center) Rush was born on November 24 th , 1962 in Fort Yates, ND. Billy attended Bullhead & Chamberlain Grade School, Fort Yates Public School & then went on to Box Elder Job Corp, followed by United Tribes Technical College.
Billy was a very thoughtful & kind person, often putting others before himself. When asked for help Billy never hesitated, he was always there to lend a helping hand. You could always find Billy with a cup of coffee visiting with his friends and family. Billy was extremely generous, he would often pass out apples, oranges, suckers, cereal, and sack lunches to the neighborhood children that would knock at his door. His hobbies included playing board games, drawing, bike riding, cooking, building bird houses, fixing cars, and being an all-around handy man, "Mr. Fix It" you could call him. Billy enjoyed listening to the 70s & 80s music and watching movies.
Billy was a devout Catholic. He enjoyed bible study, reading his bible, and going to church. He enjoyed listening to his brother Rocky aka "Ol' Padre's" gospel music station on KLND 89.5 and often recorded it. His favorite gospel song was "He Rolled The Sea Away."
Billy was called home by his heavenly Father on February 21 st , 2019 at his home in Fort Yates, ND. Billy is no longer in pain or suffering. Isaiah 41:13 For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
Billy is preceded in death by his father LeRoy Archambault, his mother Joyce (Village Center) Rush, his paternal grandparents John Archambault & Margaret Little Eagle, his maternal grandparents William Village Center & Margaret Montez, his brothers Michael Blue, Rocky (Ol' Padre), and Ira Archambault, and his nephew Joshua Silk.
Billy is survived by his brother Lloyd Archambault and his sisters Barbara Archambault, Phoebe Silk, Kay Ann Archambault, Pamela Archambault and numerous nieces & nephews to name that he loved very much.
Casketbearers will be Sasha Glaser, Jeremiah Greybear, Taylor Greybear, Gena Greybear, Brian Hurley, JR Red Tomahawk, Mark Elk Nation, Mike Elk Nation, Blue Archambault, Alex Archambault
