Beverly Ann Eagleshield, 80, of McLaughlin, SD, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the Mobridge Regional Hospital in Mobridge, SD.

Mass of Christian Burial for Beverly Ann Eagleshield will be on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 11:00am CST at St. Bernard Catholic Church in McLaughlin, SD. Visitation will be on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm CST at St. Bernard Catholic Church in McLaughlin, SD with a Rosary Service at 7:00 pm. Burial to follow at the Has Horns-Eagleshield Family Cemetery in Little Eagle, SD.

Beverly was born on September 28, 1941 in Bullhead-SD, to Michael & Olivia (Good Eagle) Hollow. She grew up in Bullhead & McLaughlin, SD. As an adult, Beverly went on to attend Parks School of Business in Denver, CO & Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD where she gained her education in nursing & business finance. She was an enthused knowledge seeker who enjoyed attaining accreditations & certificates along the way. Along with her love for education, she enjoyed working & keeping busy. Beverly worked as a nurse at Sioux San Hospital in Rapid City, SD & Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Lincoln, NE. She later went on to work in the accounting departments of the BIA Great Plains Regional Office in Aberdeen, SD & SRST Finance Department in Fort Yates, ND where she retired after 30 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, baking, exercise & bowling. She played on many bowling leagues in many places throughout her life. She also loved going to bowling tournaments & received many awards. She was also devoted member of the auxiliary for the American Legion Post's #82 in Bullhead, SD & #239 in Little Eagle, SD. Her support for the military was strong with her husband, sons, brother, uncle, & nephews being in the armed forces. She was a very caring & generous person. She will be greatly missed.

Family & Friends were always a priority. Beverly is survived by her husband of 49 years, Sidney Eagleshield Jr. of McLaughlin-SD; four children: Craig (Claudene) Eagleshield of Cannon Ball-ND, Adrianne (Douglas) Eagleshield of McLaughlin-SD, Yendis (Randy) Rocha of McLaughlin-SD, & Sidney Eagleshield III of McLaughlin-SD; adopted children: Pete Ducheneaux of Mobridge-SD, Kenneth Spotted Horse of McLaughlin-SD, Justin Yellow Fat of Ft. Yates-ND, & Jonathan Edwards of McLaughlin-SD; siblings: Beatrice Skinner of McLaughlin-SD, Melda Dog Eagle of Pierre-SD, Roselyne Good Eagle of McLaughlin-SD, Harold (Delores) Hallow of McLaughlin-SD, Violet Taken Alive of Bullhead-SD, Leatrice Hendricks of Bullhead-SD, Leroy (Robin) Weasel of McLaughlin-SD, Gary (Crystal) Weasel of McLaughlin-SD, Ila (Brian) Weasel of McLaughlin-SD; Grandchildren: Natosha Hiipakka of Sioux Falls-SD, Randal Jr., Ricky & Chante Eagleshield of Ft. Yates-ND, Louise Eagleshield of McLaughlin-SD, Taylor, Jordan, Treyvor, & Jayden Schwalk of McLaughlin-SD. Katelyn & Lyle III Lumbar of McLaughlin-SD; Great Grandchildren: Leo Morgan of Sioux Falls-SD, Ransom Allen Eagleshield of Ft. Yates-ND, Lyla Red Tomahawk of McLaughlin-SD, & Hazel Joy Schwalk of McLaughlin-SD. Many special relatives too numerous to list.
