Obituary

Mass of Christian Burial for Arletha Krumm, 82, of Mobridge will be Friday, April 30, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mobridge. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. Rosary service will be Thursday at 7:30 PM at the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Thursday starting at noon at Kesling Funeral Home. Arletha passed away April 26, 2010 at her home in Mobridge.

Arletha Mae Krumm was born December 19, 1928 at Glenham to Jake and Emma (Lee) Weigum. She graduated from Mobridge High School, and began working for the telephone company until she retired in 1982.

She married Jim Krumm on October 22, 1948 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mobridge. She had a great love for animals and always had dogs and cats at their home. Arletha enjoyed watching the wild turkeys on the ranch and liked skunk tailed calves.She always saw the bright side on everything, everyone had a good side in them. Arletha loved life to the fullest, was a outdoor person that could make a pet out of a 2,000 lb animal. Once a month she would get together with the former telephone operators for coffee. Arletha also liked going shopping in Aberdeen for the day, enjoyed going to Auction Sales with Jim. When her great grandchildren came over she made her special treats of oatmeal pies and Cheeto's and would send the extras home with them. She would also set up her little red card table and have the kids make newspaper hats and boats for them to play with.

Arletha is survived by her husband Jim Krumm , son Jim Krumm and his wife (Patty) three grandchildren; Kim Krumm and his wife (Joyce) of Mobridge, Teresa Krumm of Omaha, NE Angie Phillips and her husband (Dwight) of San Antonio, TX five great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Casketbearers will be Pete Krumm, Dick Scherer, Robbie Jones, Bill Omafray, Darrell Bender, and Val Goldade

Honorary casketbearers will be All Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren

Congregational Hymns will be Peace is Flowing Like a River, Be Not Afraid, On Eagle's Wings, and Amazing Grace.
