Obituary

Mass of Christian Burial for Ardys Little Eagle Salinas Frias, age 44, of Bullhead will be Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 10:30 AM CT at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church of Bullhead. Burial will be in the St. John's Episcopal Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. Family and friends are asked to meet at the top of the hill at 5PM to process to the church for visitation and prayer service at 7PM. Ardys passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at Sanford Health in Bismarck.

Ardys Salinas Frias (Ardys Little Eagle) was born April 28th, 1969 in Bismarck, ND to Ruth Little Eagle and Cecil Little Eagle. When she was just a child, her mother passed away and Ardys was then cared for by her eldest sister Ruby Shoestring. She received her high school diploma from Fort Yates Public School. Ardys is the wife of Rodrigo Salinas Frias and has three children, Sidney Padilla, Laticia Padilla, and the late Efrain Padilla Jr. Ardys's family is proud to say she worked very hard to support her family before becoming very ill. She worked for Prairie Knights Casino, United Tribes Technical College, Ramada Limited Suites, Mystic Lake Casino, and for a brief but proud time was the secretary for Rock Creek district.
She entered the spirit world May 10th, 2013 at Stanford Medical Center in Bismarck, ND surrounded by her children, eldest sister, niece and grandchildren.
Ardys has lived in Bullhead, SD, Fort Yates and Bismarck, ND and Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN.
Ardys was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed cooking for her family, throwing parties for loved ones where she would volunteer to buy the food and cook it too, entertaining friends and family with her good food, spending time at the river, fishing, visiting Sertoma park, attending her son Sidney's basketball games, spending time with her daughter Laticia, and calling and visiting with her friends and family on the phone.
Ardys is survived by her husband, Rodrigo Salinas Frias, son Sidney Padilla, daughter Laticia Padilla, sister Ruby (Anthony Sr.) Shoestring, sister Connie (Linus) Red Bear, sister Lavonne (Greg) Feather, sister Arbutus Steele (Milton Brown Otter), sister Geraldine Rosebud (Jimmy High Cat), brother Ivan Little Eagle, brother Cecil Jr. Little Eagle, grandmother Ione Eagle, aunts Bernadette Eagle, Betty Dwarf-Clayton, uncle Oley (Mavis) Little Eagle, cousins Lowell "Rushie" Little Eagle, Berlinda Rosebud, Brenda Rosebud, Colette Rosebud, Leo Rosebud, Virgil (Mary) Foote, Doreen Foote, Mike Foote, Glenn (Bobbi) Foote, Florine Foote, Adrian Foote, Ronnie Foote, Leroy Foote, nieces Alvonne (Ray) Penola, Tamara (Robert) Johnson, Brandy (Jeff) Watson, Carmen Red Bear (Michael Blue), Desiree Red Bear, Sarah Red Bear, Joey Red Bear, Jennifer Red Bear, Amanda Little Eagle, Lana Little Eagle, nephews Doug Goodfeather, Julian Little Eagle, Sheldon Little Eagle, Waylon Little Eagle, grandchildren, Alicia Gates, Charlie Gates, Scottie Gates, Katie Gates, Raquel Little Eagle, Joseph Little Eagle, Autumn Red Bear, Zachary Watson, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. If there is anyone we mistakenly forgotten, please forgive us in our time of sorrow.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Efrain Jr., brothers, Sidney Little Eagle, Keith Little Eagle, aunts Evelyn Foote, Nancy Rosebud, grandparents Leo and Angeline Little Eagle, John Little Eagle, nephews Troy Shoestring, Anthony Jr. Shoestring, and Jerome Shoestring, cousins Louie Foote, Joe Foote, Delphine Foote, Joe Foote, Pat Foote, and Mark Foote.
