Annie H. Vermillion age 90, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Mobridge Regional Hospital. No services are planned at this time.

Annie Hermine (Frank) Vermillion was the daughter of Martin and Emma Frank aka Makes Trouble. Annie was born May 12, 1926 at their homestead near Firesteel, SD. She was delivered by her Grandmother Annie Makes Trouble and named after her.

She attended the Lone Tree country school and Ft. Yates, ND boarding school. She continued her education at the Haskell Institute (vocational- technical), Lawrence, Kansas. Her career included the Black Hills Ordinance Depot, Igloo, SD, Pierre Indian School, Farmers Home Administration, McIntosh, SD, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Ft Yates, ND. She retired in 1995 year and lived in her home at McLaughlin, SD until Oct. 14, 2011 year when she entered the Golden Living Center at Mobridge, SD.
She passed away at the Mobridge Regional Hospital. She loved her home and to cook, garden, draw and oil paint, and watch basketball. She had a sense of humor all her own. Her daughters celebrated this Mothers Day and her 90th birthday in her presence. She married Frank E. Vermillion and had 3 daughters.

She leaves to mourn 3 daughters, Tracy Vermillion, McLaughlin, SD, Leslie Vermillion, Eagle Butte, SD, Claudia Valandra, Scottsdale, AZ, 2 stepsons Frank Vermillion, Gakona, Alaska, Van Vermillion, Indio, CA, 2 sisters, Cecelia Roubideaux, Spokane, WA, Virginia McClain, LaCrosse, WI, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many other relatives.
Preceding her in death were her parents, 5 sisters, 2 brothers, and husband.

We thank all the staff at the Mobridge Regional Hospital and Golden Living Center for the wonderful care they gave her.
