IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anita
Nisbet
July 18, 1937 – January 12, 2026
Funeral services for Anita Nisbet, 88, of Mobridge will be held at Kesling Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 11:00 am. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Friday, January 16, 2026, at Kesling Funeral Home. Anita passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, at her home in Mobridge.
Anita Nisbet was born to August and Else Bojanowski on July 18, 1937 (questionable😊), with siblings Herman and Heinz.
Anita met her husband David while stationed in Germany. They were married on May 24th, 1962. Their first daughter Judy was born in Germany. The family moved to the States where Carol was born in Wessington Springs, South Dakota. They moved to St Paul, Minneapolis where Ruth was born in 1967. Then they moved to Forestburg in 1970 where they had Andy.
Anita and her family officially settled down in Mobridge, where she spent her years caring for her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She loved driving them around; anywhere in Mobridge to Huron, Rapid City or even Sioux Falls, hitting anything that came in her way. If you ask Anita, "She's the best driver around."
She loved playing cards, bingo, pinochle, polka music, coffee time at Burger King, visits to the Senior Center, and visiting with friends. Anita enjoyed traveling. Her grandkids and great grandkids were her absolute pride and joy.
One of her "moments of fame" was when there was a German wrestling team that came to Mobridge and she was picked to be the translator during the tournament.
Anita is survived by her children Carol Davis, Ruth (Glenn) Roebuck and Andy (Dusty) Nisbet. Her brother Heinz (Marlys) Bojanowski. Her grandchildren Joshua, Trenton, Ryann (Alex) Aponte, Amy (Dan) Hagen, Theresa (Josh) Harvy, Dallas, Breaunna (Heather) Garza, Austin (Payton) Nisbet and Kassy. 19 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews (great nieces and nephews) from Germany.
Preceding Anita in death are her parents, her husband, one brother Herman, daughter Judy, and two great grandchildren Graycen and Lukas Davis.
