Funeral services for Alyssa Dawn Eagle age 23 of Cannonball, ND will 11:00 AM, Monday, April 27, 2015 at the A.J. Agard Building in Fort Yates, ND. Burial will be in the St. Elizabeth Episcopal Cemetery in Wakpala. Visitation will begin Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 6:00 PM at the A.J. Agard Building. Alyssa passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015 as the results of a traffic accident. Kesling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Alyssa Dawn Eagle age 23 was born at Med Center One in Bismarck, ND on August 9, 1991 to Lynda (Black Elk) Eagle and Herbert Pleets. She was the youngest of 4, after three brothers: Russell (Jody) Iron Ring, Leighton (Sam) Eagle, and the late Jarid Pleets. "Lys" or "Sissy" as she was called by most who knew her; attended school at Standing Rock, until her sophomore year at which she attended Flandreau Indian School, She obtained her G.E.D. and started her general studies courses at Sitting Bull College. Lys blessed this world with her first son Huston Haze, Feb. 19, 2010, her Princess Khloe Paige, Jan. 19, 2011, son, Kalijah Wayne, July 30, 2012, deceased son, Tristen Jade, Nov. 6, 2013: who's life was only shared with her; and Wade Corey, Nov. 16, 2014.

Lys was a strong will reserved young lady, most often acknowledging you with her beautiful smile but those she was most comfortable with, knew of her adventurous, full of life personality.

Lys best friend was her Mom and she was her Mom's. Her closest were her family. She would make herself available to anyone who needed her: a shoulder to cry on, non-judgemental advice, or to just go for a drive to get away a while. She was a care-free spirit didn't "stress" the little things, not easily angered and never held a grudge.
