Mass of Christian Burial for Allison Peterson, age 49, of Eagle Butte will be at 10 AM MT, Thursday, October 20, 2011 at All Saints Catholic Church in Eagle Butte. Burial will be in the Eagle Butte Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. A Rosary service will be held Wednesday at 7 PM at the church. Allison passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the Colorado Long Term Care Hospital in Denver.

Allison Marie (Ducheneaux) Peterson was born January 29, 1962 at Eagle Butte, South Dakota to Anthony Claire Ducheneaux and Julie (Jewett) Marshall. She was one of four children. Her early years were spent in Ft. Thompson and she attended grade school and graduated from St. Joseph's Indian School in Chamberlain, SD. Allison attended and graduated from Cheyenne-Eagle Butte High School in May of 1980.

Allison married the love of her life, Brice Peterson on December 5, 1981 at All Saints Catholic Church in Eagle Butte and they had four children Tyler, Ashley, Spencer and Parker. Allison was employed by various organizations such as Cheyenne River Head Start, CRST Telephone Authority, Peterson Trucking, Gila River Telecommunications, Pte Hca Ka Corporation and USD Center for Disabilities Developmental Clinic.

Allison spent her spare time attending her children and grand-children's functions. She also enjoyed taking tons of photographs. Allison loved to travel and embraced life to the fullest.

Allison is survived by her husband Brice Peterson of Eagle Butte, 3 sons; Tyler of Eagle Butte, SD, Spencer of Casa Grande, AZ, and Parker of Eagle Butte, SD. One daughter; Ashley of Bismarck, ND. Her mother; Julie (Gib) Marshall of Eagle Butte, SD. Also surviving are one brother; Mike Ducheneaux of Eagle Butte, SD, 3 sisters; Brenda (Roy) Lemmon of Eagle Butte, Katie Ducheneaux of Rapid City, SD, and Marla (Kevin) Keckler of Eagle Butte.

She was preceded in death by her father; A.C. Ducheneaux, brother; Matthew Ducheneaux, step-brother Grant Marshall, and two nieces, Krislyn and Jamie Marie.

Casketbearers are Spencer Peterson, Tyler Peterson, Mike Ducheneaux, Roy Lemmon, Gib Marshall, Kirby Peterson, Weston Longbrake, Harley Morgan, and Benny Kasto.
