Visitation for Allen Archambault, age 62 of McLaughlin will begin at 5:00 PM to Midnight Friday, April 12, 2019 at the McLaughlin Blue Gym. Family and friends are asked to meet at Kesling Funeral Home at 4:00 PM to follow. Interment will be 3:00 PM Monday, April 15, 2019 in the Black Hills National Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge, Allen passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Five Counties Nursing Home in Lemmon.

Allen Oscar Archambault was born September 12, 1956 at Fort Yates, ND to Oscar and Sophie (Running Hawk) Archambault. Allen grew up in Little Eagle, SD. He attended grade school at Little Eagle Day School and McLaughlin Elementary School. Allen attended High School in Fort Yates, ND until the 10 th grade. He then returned to McLaughlin High School and graduated in 1974. After high school Allen enlisted in the United States Navy with Basic Training at Great Lakes, MI.

In his lifetime, Allen worked for the Indian Action Commodity Warehouse program, Little Eagle Day School boys' basketball coach, Community Health Representative (CHR) for the Little Eagle (Running Antelope) District. Standing Rock Ambulance Services and KLND Station Manager.

Allen enjoyed his life to the fullest, he loved the outdoors, softball season and the company of his friends. He spent numerous summer days fishing, throwing horseshoes, and coaching his softball team in the Mobridge Leagues and traveling for softball tournaments. During Football season he never missed a game of watching his beloved Denver Broncos. Allen loved his Classic Rock and Roll and only the best classic rock was played on Saturday afternoons at KLND. He was also named "The King of Dead Air".

Allen is survived by his children, Joseph, Oscar, Everett and Edger Archambault and Isaac Archambault. He is also survived by his sisters, Marjorie Archambault, Barbara (Happy) Archambault, Donna (Raymond) Archambault of McLaughlin, SD., Phyllis Archambault of Bullhead, SD., and one brother Joseph Archambault, of McLaughlin, SD. Allen is also survived by many nephews, nieces and grandchildren too numerous to name. He has many other Archambault/Running Hawk relatives too numerous to name and we did not want to forget anyone.

Allen was preceded in death by his mother and father, Oscar and Sophie (Running Hawk) Archambault, daughter, Heidi Iron Cloud, brother, Wayne John and Everett Archambault, niece, Georgia Weasel, nephews, George Weasel Jr., James (Bubba) Giroux and Michael Iron.
