Albert "Bert" Peter Keller Senior was born on December 1, 1956 to Peter and Fauneil Keller in McLaughlin, South Dakota. Bert was raised on the family farm near Glencross. He attended grade school to the 6th grade in Glencross then completed his education at Timber Lake Public school, where he graduated in 1975. Thirty-seven years ago, Bert married his high school sweetheart Patricia Scherer on June 4, 1976 at Holy Cross Church in Timber Lake. They made their home on the
Keller family farm where they raised their four sons: Perry, Albert
Junior, Alex and Pierce.

Bert and his dad worked together doing farming, ranching and auto
restoration. Throughout the years, all the boys helped their dad and grandpa on the farm, and in 2000 Perry returned home to work with Bert and Peter. Bert loved working with family and cherished the time he spent with all of them, especially preparing his famous barbeque ribs for special occasions. He had a passion for restoring classic autos and enjoyed hunting with friends and family, especially coyotes and mountain lions. A hard-worker all his life, Bert could always be counted on to help a friend or a neighbor in need whether it be fixing machinery or working cattle.

Bert is survived by his wife Patricia and their children Perry (Stacy), Albert Jr (Bridget), Alex (Natasha), Pierce (Brianna Kunf), and Chasity Bowling.
