Funeral services for Albert Fritz, age 87, of Isabel will be at 1:30 PM MT, Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Isabel UCC Church. Burial will be in Hillview Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will start at 6 PM Friday with a prayer service at 7 PM at the church. Albert passed away Monday April 23, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Mobridge.
Albert Fritz was born August 4, 1924 to Jake and Mary (Huber) Fritz at there home near Mound City, SD. As a child Albert's family moved to Isabel SD. Albert attended school in Isabel and entered the US Navy on June 26, 1943. Albert married Loretta Stein on April 5, 1945 in Isabel, where they made their home northwest of Isabel.
Albert owned and worked at his mechanic shop and the SD Highway Department where he retired in February 1989. Albert also was the first Polaris dealer in Isabel. He loved to work on anything and fix everything. Albert also sold Case Tractors for awhile before retiring.
He loved his cats dearly and also his regular cup of coffee every morning. Albert also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of the American Legion, Shriner's, and the NRA.
Albert is survived by his wife Loretta Fritz of Mobridge, SD daughter-in-law Joann Fritz of Trail City, SD, grandchildren, Warren (Karalee) Fritz of Miles City, MT, and Marci Fritz of Orlando, FL, great grandsons, Jack and Henry Fritz, brothers, Chris Fritz of Sturgis, SD, Robert (Diane) Fritz of Vancouver, WA, and Daryld Fritz of Hot Springs, SD, sisters, Esther Goetz of Selby, SD Beverly (Mervin) Udager of St. Mary's ID, and Mary Ann (Jerry) Derby of Sturgis, SD, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Dennis, brother Ervin, and two sisters Betty Williams and Verna Goetz.
