Obituary

Mass of Christian Burial for Bryce Enright, age 85, of Timber Lake will be at 10 AM MT, Monday, November 1, 2010 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Timber Lake. Burial will be in the Timber Lake Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will be from 1-3 CT at the funeral home on Sunday and starting at 5 PM MT with a Rosary Service at 7 PM at the church. Bryce passed away Thursday, October 28, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Mobridge. In Lieu of flowers memorials can directed towards the Timber Lake Museum and Historical Society.

A. (Alexander) Bryce Enright was born August 21, 1925, along with his twin brother William Bruce, to Bryan and Pearl (Wood) Enright. The boys joined a sister Delores and a brother Dean in the family. Bryce grew up in the north Timber Lake area and attended country school.

On July 21, 1945, Bryce married LeVera Lillian Milliken in Mobridge. Bryce and LeVera had 2 sons, Denver born January 30, 1946 and Rodney born September 7, 1947. They ranched north of Timber Lake and Bryce worked as a heavy equipment operator for Malloy construction and as a carpenter for J.D. Kesling. The family moved to Butte, MT for a short period of time where Bryce worked in a chemical plant.

Bryce went to work for Moreau-Grand Electric in the fall of 1964 as an equipment operator. He was promoted to material clerk in 1970. In 1983, LeVera died of cancer.

On June 15, 1984, Bryce married Alice (Jung) Witte in Timber Lake. They continued to ranch north of Timber Lake and also had a house in town. Bryce continued to work for Moreau-Grand Electric and after 27 years of service, he retired in 1991. He then worked part time for the city of Timber Lake, maintained the grounds at the cemetery, and often worked part-time for Schlosser Ditching and Plumbing. He loved being outdoors and keeping busy and he loved horses and cattle.

Bryce was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and entered the Golden Living center in November of 2009. He passed away early in the morning on October 28, 2010.

Bryce was preceded in death by his parents Bryan and Pearl Enright, his first wife LeVera Enright, his twin brother Bruce Enright and his sister Delores Olson.

He is survived by a large and loving family - his wife Alice: 2 sons Denver (Adele) Enright and Rodney (Mavis) Enright of Timber Lake: 6 step children, Curtis (Sue) Witte of Pierre, Sherry Witte of Norwood MN, Roxy (Craig) Hanson of San Diego CA, Lynn Hayward of Columbus OH, Leann (Vern) Hintz of Mobridge, and Roger (Samantha) Witte of Pierre: 21 grandchildren Richard Enright, Mitch Enright, Travis Enright, Coffy Enright, Kate Wiedrich, Brian Witte, David Hayward, Monique Hanson, Jared Hanson, Brooke Hanson, Kyle Hanson, Ginger Hintz, Hollie Hendricks, Jesse Hintz, Cara Krell, Kayla Hintz, Daniel Hintz, Savannah Witte and Cody Witte: 19 great-grandchildren Sierra, JD, Erin, Haley, Brooke, Bailly, Brandi, Caley, Coltyn, Code, Cheyenne, Ryan, Samuel, Brooklynn, Abreeanna, Kristina, Dominick, Trystan, and Brinley.

Bryce is also survived by 1 brother - Dean Enright of Rapid City, several sisters in law and brothers in law and numerous nieces and nephews.
