Mass of Christian Burial for Pepsi Lawrence, age 71, of Mobridge will be at 10:30 AM, Monday, December 19, 2011 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mobridge. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will start at 5 PM with a family service at 7 PM at the funeral home. Pepsi passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the Mobridge Regional Hospital.

Clarence “Pepsi” Lawrence was born August 7th, 1940 at Old Cheyenne Agency to Clarence and Charlotte (Rousseau) Lawrence. He grew up on his parent’s ranch on the Moreau River near White Horse South Dakota. He attended the Stephan Mission School where he graduated high school. While attending Stephan he met the love of his life Tootsie Johnson. They married on the 25th day of June 1960 at Mandaree, North Dakota. Pepsi and Tootsie set out for Huron South Dakota where he barbered for A & K Barbershop starting their new life together. Being from White Horse the area called him and his family back home to Timber Lake South Dakota where Pepsi started his entrepreneur career with his own barbershop. Shortly thereafter Pepsi & Tootsie purchased the Lucky 7 Bar & Grill where he and his wife spent the next 26 years forging years of friendship. Loving golf the grass greens at the Mobridge Country Club brought the couple to purchase the Fireside Supper Club in Mobridge where they remained until they retired in 2005. Pepsi served on various boards in both Timber Lake and Mobridge South Dakota. He was passionate about the people and the development of the communities in which he lived. Including the Fire Department – Timber Lake Ambulance Association – Little Moreau Country Club – Rodeo Association and the Mobridge Country Club. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Tootsie, 4 children Debbie (Larry) Wimmer of Mobridge SD , Kelvin (Patty) of Brandon, SD David (Jan) of Mobridge, SD and Staci (Brian) Thompson of Mobridge SD. 13 Grand children, Jennifer Dietterle, Courtney Wimmer, Brooke Wimmer, Megan Lawrence, Jolynn Kraft, Drew Lawrence, Whitney Lawrence, Cameron Lawrence, Currin Lawrence, Hannah Lawrence, Sarah Lawrence, Nathan Thompson, Lauren Thompson and 4 Great Children - Lennox, Rocklyn, Rozlyn, and Cruz. His mom Charlotte Lawrence of White Horse, 6 brothers, Justin (Jenny), Roger (Mona), Paul (Jolene), Richard (Lisa), Arlyn (Cheryl), Marty (Monica), One Sister, Pat Lawrence and Jody. He was preceded by his dad Clarence Lawrence, his father and mother in law Melvin & Eloise Johnson, his brother in laws, Myron Johnson, Bernie Johnson, Jarrett Johnson and one sister in law Betty Lawrence.
